TRA Plastics is headquartered in a 9,000 square foot building with Engineering, Inspection, Tooling and Molding facilities. Off site, our molding capability goes up to 720 tons.

TRA Plastics has provided product design services for customers in medical, aerospace, and sporting goods industries. Our engineers are competent users of Solidworks and Mastercam software packages, and have plenty of experience translating files from Pro Engineer, Catia, and other design platforms.

Most of our service work for OEM’s in the medical field has been relegated to injection mold tool design, but our experience in upfront product design has proven invaluable to customers with their own engineering staffs seeking plastic recommendations for ease of manufacturability and durability in their product designs.

TRA Plastics is rooted to injection tool manufacture and we have built tools for presses as small as 5 tons and as large as 400 tons. All design and construction is accomplished at the headquarters. We also maintain relationships with domestic and overseas tooling manufacturers.
